Miller Park Lodge
Jackson, Wyoming, USA
A planned mixed-use development in downtown Jackson Miller Park Lodge is formally a “mixed-metaphor” building, weaving a rustic thread into the urban setting. The design is an interplay of transparency and solidity, from a simple stone, wood, and glass palette. The building seamlessly combines sustainable design features with guest and user amenities: Rooftop gardens, for example, not only provide luxurious outdoor space for guests but also mitigate impacts from storm water runoff, contributing to the building’s anticipated LEED silver certification.
The 41,000-square-foot building houses offices, a day spa, short-term luxury accommodations, and commercial space in a contextual development. Embracing the adjacent public park, the Miller Park Lodge design not only enters into a visual dialogue with the open green space but also aims to entice park users into street-level commercial units.
