Dantercepies Cable Car
Streda Dantercëpies, Selva di Val Gardena, Italy
The morphological integration of the buildings into the Alpine environment was a key element of the Dantercepies cable car project. The valley, intermediate, and mountain stations were all constructed using concrete mixed with sediments of local Dolomitic gravel.
The original project had to be completely revised, adapted, and reapproved due to two landslides that occurred in April 2013. Nevertheless, the project was successfully completed during the summer of 2013.
