Museum of the former Hydroelectric Power Plant Pitter
The project to turn the former A. Pitter Hydroelectric Power Station into a museum takes a measured approach, enhancing the strong identity of the place without overwhelming it. Thanks to European funding, the power station – an extraordinary example of industrial archaeology – has undergone a renovation process that integrates traditional teaching methods with immersive technologies, offering a multidisciplinary interpretation of science, technology and history.
L’intervento architettonico introduce elementi autoportanti, modulari e reversibili, pensati per inserirsi con delicatezza nello spazio vincolato. Un sottile telaio in ferro costituisce la grammatica comune dell’allestimento, supportando pannelli, illuminazione e apparati tecnologici.

The museum tour, guided by an interactive kit, is designed to be accessible and customisable: multisensory exhibits, immersive projections and digital content adaptable to different audiences are complemented by fully legible physical supports. The whole creates an inclusive experience, capable of making the complexity of the power station understandable, engaging and open to multiple levels of exploration.
