Renovation of the Office Building in Zurich West on Hardturmstrasse

The conversion and renovation of the staircases in the complex of buildings at Hardturmstrasse 169-175 resulted in a representative upgrade of the historic building. The carefully selected materials were refined by Marazzi + Paul Architekten to the last detail. The form and material language of the lighting fixtures serves to support the hierarchical levels within the staircases. The grading of anodized ring lights in the reception halls to technically seeming glass lights in the side corridors structure the spatial sequence according to the use. Due to the requirements of the preservation of historical monuments not to damage the existing structure, all necessary additional sensor elements were integrated into the luminaires and luminaire canopies.
