Dialectical Facades
In Berlin’s beloved Kollwitz-Kiez, BFA has acquired a formerly vacant lot, and ingeniously utilized it for a premium-quality, contemporary residential building in the style of classic modernism. The facade facing the street emulates the surrounding industrial architecture and presents itself with an ornamented brick surface, a draped concrete basement, an inviting entrance area and opulent balconies. The rear of the building is more subdued, yet dominated by a soft curve, which lends itself to modern ingenuity.
