Bethel Kibera School
Kibera, Kenya
The local Bethel Kibera school was dismantled and reconstructed using TwistBlocks with the assistance of the 7 Hills Foundation who supports the school in day-to-day activities and funded the reconstruction.
The site has a complex geometry and topography and access was difficult. A partnership was arranged with the neighboring church to provide site office space and a safe access route for machinery and materials.
The construction happened in a record-breaking 4 months and features classrooms, a kitchen, office, library, roof terrace and courtyard. The building features an extended ramp system which allows wheel chair access to every level, an important feature for some of the existing, differently abled students.
