Sanya Phoenix Island - Commercial-Leisure Cultural Centre
Situated on the resort themed island, Phoenix Island, the Leisure-Commercial -cultural centre is designed to be the main destination point for tourists and locals alike offering a unique experience in mixing art and shopping, commercial art venue with family leisure and entertainment with culture. The project located underneath a large high end resort villa development, is a space carved out from inside an artificial mountain. Retail,exposition spaces and cineplex are designed as a series of pods that are overlapped on top of one another creating a series of interconnected interstitial spaces. These interstitial spaces provide pedestrian circulation and opportunities of pop up expo spaces that accompany pedestrians.
