Spinglass Architects

This 2.1 kilometer bridge spans the open sea from Kitakyushu to the artificial island where Kitakyushu Airport is situated. It was opened to the public in 2006. Matsuoka dedicated 13 years to designing the structure, including suspension span, support columns, decking and smaller details, such as handrails, lighting and approach.
