Rehabilitation of Marfà factory
Carrer de Baix, 2, Santa Eugènia, Girona, Spanien
The project consisted of rehabilitating a former textile factory as a civic centre and library. The level of intervention was determined by the building’s strong character. We decided to demolish all the non-original buildings to accentuate the main volume. A new extension on the ground floor organizes the public space and the entrance. The interior avoids false ceilings and opaque coatings to highlight the original structure.
